Golden is simply a wonderful place to live and play. Situated at the base of the foothills, you feel like you are in a mountain town, but you have access to the whole Denver Metro area just a few miles away. Golden is a smaller community of about 18k people, with restaurants, breweries, shopping, parks, trails all within walking distance from town. The Historic District includes homes from 8th St to 18th St in downtown Golden, and also the East St Historic District on the East side of Jackson St in downtown Golden.
There are plenty of other neighborhoods close by, that offer all varieties of housing as well, and most of them have biking access to town.
Some of our favorite restaurants downtown include
The Buffalo Rose, a restored hotel and bar with tons of history, The
Bridgewater Grill, with an outdoor patio overlooking Clear Creek,
Abejas with lots of farm to table dishes, and
Bob's Atomic Burgers, likely the best burger you will ever have.
In the summer,
Clear Creek runs through town and is lots of fun for tubers, kayakers, swimmers, and those looking for a peaceful spot to cool off. There are also some amazing paved walking and biking trails that follow the creek West, or head East towards downtown Denver.
Feel free to reach out to us for more information on all things Golden. We love this community. We live here, we play here, and we work here!!
